Lakehurst Diner Restaurant: Your Go-To Spot for Comfort Food in Lakehurst, NJ

Excellent menu selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also an additional special menu for dinner which varies each day. Service is always very good and there is a good choice of booths or tables.

I came here with my son and my sister in law's husband for some absolutely scrumptious, delicious, and downright incredible French toast. To say I wasn't let down would be an understatement. The French toast exemplified how to make a perfect, classic American breakfast. It was delicious without using pounds of powdered sugar and extra ingredients. The service was not only fast, but it was also very enjoyable. The man who waited on us was very nice and always came to top us up on our coffee (something which I take with utmost seriousness . The ambiance was almost too great to bear. The aura from the waitstaff and the lighting made the meal taste 100 times better. I love this place and will be returning soon!

Top notch Turkey club, French dip, gyro, crab cake, salmon, fruit/cottage cheese platter, chicken noodle soup, cream of mushroom soup, ANY SOUP! Fries, onion rings, desserts! I'd put this on top of ANY NJ diner! North, Central or South! THE BEST!

Another visit to the Lakehurst Diner. Nothing has really changed. It is clean, the prices are reasonable, service is good and the food is delicious. I had a spinach and mushroom omelette with the potatoes, scrapple as a side and a biscuit. The biscuit was a little lacking but still good enough. The eggs were great and the scrapple was a nice piece cooked on nicely on the griddle. Great breakfast.

I came here with my nerf squad after game. A lovely place with a warm welcome and helpful service. When you get the chance stop by for a bite. I loved my B.L.T meal. Cheese burger deluxe and California chesse Burger was so good that my squad wolf it down.

Diners are everywhere here but this one is unique for a couple of reasons: Burgers and Breakfast. They do these two things right. The Breakfast selections are vast and for every appetite. They make traditional faves like egg and taylor ham/pork roll sandwiches, pancakes, egg & meat dishes, omelets, pastries, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, etc. The coffee is flowing day or night. The breakfast potatoes are good. You can jazz them up by ordering them with onions or have them plain. They serve the food hot and promptly. The burgers are craveable. They have all different ones from the traditional to the Bacon Cheeseburger, the Veggie, the California, the pizza, the turkey and more. They come with a tiny tiny side of coleslaw and a pickle. They can be ordered with deluxe with the coleslaw and pickle plus with fresh lettuce and tomato and fries. They have side orders too. They are a decent size and so delish. The family owner(s) seat you so you don't really get to choose a server but you can choose a booth or a table. If your server says she is Mary you are in for a good meal. Our server was Mary (MG) recently and she was fantastic. She really took care of us. She was friendly and attentive.

Hubby and I eat here at least once a month after visiting my MIL. Something to be said about a simple meal, that checks off all the needs. I like the triple decker sandwich (club sandwich) extra bacon and mayo- tomatoes are fresh and lettuce is crispy all on toasted bread, simple and filling. Hubby likes breakfast or one of the hot open face sandwich, we enjoy the coffee, never an empty coffee cup and every once in a while, we see someone we know. It really is a great little spot to have breakfast or lunch and an early dinner is great, since I am not big on dished and hate to grocery shop on an empty stomach.
